COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS DIVISION
As part of the ever changing world of the criminal justice system, the Rappahannock Regional Jail has evolved from simply providing traditional incarceration to developing numerous alternatives to incarceration into its practices over several decades.
Among these alternatives are:

INMATE PROCESSING DIVISION
The Inmate Processing Division is responsible for three (3) areas: Intake, Inmate Records & Property.
The Intake Department is responsible for the booking and release process of all persons committed or transferred to this facility.
The Inmate Records Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the inmate jail record.
The Property Department is responsible for the changeover and issuance of jail clothing and linens to each inmate housed at the jail.
